New Version Designed for iOS 7 Coming Soon

The next version of Strength Mark has a new look to fit with the modern feel of iOS 7 along with other improvements and features that made the cut. It should be available in the store in December 2013. I take all the feedback in the app store seriously and am working to integrate some of those suggestions and complaints in the app. If anyone has any features they wish would be in the app, please leave a comment here, send an email to, or write a review in the app store.

For those of you who are still using iOS 6, you can still download version 1.2.1 for as long as you want from the store.

Happy training!

So. I’m using Strength Mark on iOS 7.newest on an iPhone 4(no s).

Unless I create a new session each time, I have a high probability that I will lose my session as soon as the app closes. This makes leaving the house for the gym a longer process, since I can’t just template my workouts from the last cycle using my new 1RMs.
Help please. I want got keep using the app, but may need to go find a new one.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for your questions. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble. Can you describe in detail what steps lead you to you losing the session? Any time you add a set to a new or existing session, it should save it and you shouldn’t see it disappear when you leave the app. Hopefully we can get a resolution for you quickly to get you moving again.

As for your feature suggestions, those are great suggestions. I have the template editing on the agenda. However, you can delete a template in the current version if you swipe left or right on the cell of the template you wish to delete. What I will change is to add an “Edit” button on that screen so it’s clearer.

    Thanks again,

So. I go into templates and copy either a day or a week and name it Such and Such. I then schedule the day or the week. Then I adjust the percentages and reps depending on what part of the cycle I’m in. I hit save after editing the sets. If I’ve moved an entire week, I move on to the other days and repeat. At some point or another (it doesn’t seem to matter where I am in the app) I hit the power button or the home button because I’ve got to go wrestle midgets. When I come back later (sometimes not until I’m sitting in the gym, about to put my shoes on), I find that my session(s) is(are) gone. Sometimes if I paste a template and then toggle a Done button in the session, it will not disappear, but that doesn’t always work.

Thanks for the detail, Ben. I appreciate it. I will try to duplicate your scenario and should have a fix in the next release. If I have trouble with that, I’ll reach out to you again.
